Adventures in Indonesia

After spending approximately 23 long hours traveling to Indonesia, I got here yesterday a bit tired and sleep deprived. Met up with my traveling companions, the Borneo 5, our tour guide and the 4 other fellow companions taking the trip to Borneo. I was so tired I had to bow out early and I slept from 6:30 pm to 6:30 am! What a difference sleep makes!

In about an hour we are heading to Borneo which is the 3rd largest island on earth, Greenland and New Guinea are larger. It is also one of the oldest and largest rainforest – day full of jungle rivers, waterfalls and a host of wildlife that leaps, darts and crawls in the emerald depths. More than 300 bird species, leaf monkeys, wild gibbons, flying lemurs and endangered orangutans thrive in this lush vegetation. Rare proboscis monkeys and Pygmy elephants might even be seen on this trip!

Pictures will be coming ….

Coping with Loss: Finding Strength After Gary

Murphy and I are adjusting to life without Gary, missing him terribly but moving forward and I’m extremely thankful for my own personal inner strength. Gary would be very proud of me! He built a beautiful greenhouse for me and it is constantly in full bloom with beautiful flowers and delicious vegetables and a house perfect for Murphy and I. Our little piece of the earth is on 2 acres in western Colorado, 20 minutes from the Grand Mesa which is full of hiking and skiing. My community is beyond wonderful, such a fun group of friends!

Summertime is a gorgeous time at my house!

Just a few pictures from my yard!
