After spending approximately 23 long hours traveling to Indonesia, I got here yesterday a bit tired and sleep deprived. Met up with my traveling companions, the Borneo 5, our tour guide and the 4 other fellow companions taking the trip to Borneo. I was so tired I had to bow out early and I slept from 6:30 pm to 6:30 am! What a difference sleep makes!
In about an hour we are heading to Borneo which is the 3rd largest island on earth, Greenland and New Guinea are larger. It is also one of the oldest and largest rainforest – day full of jungle rivers, waterfalls and a host of wildlife that leaps, darts and crawls in the emerald depths. More than 300 bird species, leaf monkeys, wild gibbons, flying lemurs and endangered orangutans thrive in this lush vegetation. Rare proboscis monkeys and Pygmy elephants might even be seen on this trip!
Pictures will be coming ….
